Drawing inspiration from elements related to the pearl diving culture in the Arabian Gulf, Deine pieces are inspired by old tools of the trade and the culture of this rich history.
Locally crafted with genuine and exotic leathers, Each Deine piece each tells a story of it’s own.
The signature Deine style is named after the ancient mesh net hung around a pearl diver’s neck during a pearl dive. The distinct round handle is inspired by the shape of the de-yen net.
Fashioned as a timeless bag that suits diverse styles, the Deïne bag instantly enhances any ensemble the instant it is introduced.
Mahara, named after the pearl oyster shell, has a flap inspired by the silhouette of a shell.
The shape of the handle ends on the bag are inspired by the brass box used by pearl merchants to store the pearl scales (AlMeezan).
Our newest addition to the Deïne collection is the Dana bag. Taking inspiration from the red velvet fabric (Mukhamal) employed by pearl traders for storing pearls prior to sorting, the Dana bag showcases a closure mechanism reminiscent of a cinched cloth pouch. The scarlet interior of our Dana bags serves as a nostalgic nod to the captivating history of pearl diving.
Deïne is dedicated to crafting items that seamlessly function in our daily lives, yet serve as reminders of our rich history we hold in high esteem.
