About the brand

BU was born from a passion for nature and the great outdoors, inspired by the UAE’s vibrant blue seascape and year-round sunshine, coupled with our love for art and design.

BU, short for bamboo, is the UAE’s first sustainable towel brand, BU combines the beauty of UAE & Arab cultural designs, artist collaborations, and sustainable materials using bamboo supplemented by recycled plastic (rPET). This combination ensures luxurious and eco-friendly towels that are ultra-soft and absorbent.

Customers have a variety of choices from a range of towel sizes and designs, including beach towels, fitness towels, reusable face makeup remover pads, and natural bamboo-scented candles.

We believe that every little act adds up to a greater good, which is why we’re proud to partner with Emirates Nature–WWF, donating a percentage of our net profit towards protecting our environment. Additionally, through our Re-use scheme, we donate your pre-owned BU towels to animal shelters across the UAE.
